Yup, now blacklist redemption started. Lets see where that goes
First two where to cookie cutter for me. Everything that you expect to happens happens. A good show keeps you on your toes without veering to far from realistical situations.

One of the season cliffhangers (think first one) had a missile hit the room where reddington was in a direct hit and the while building blew up but all the characters they needed survived somehow.
I'm not who you think I am.

They need to get Shonda Rhimes involved, she'll kill off people that you expect need to stay on. Lol

I didn't see this weeks, but shame it was Dembe, was really hoping it was Masha...

Although they wanted us to assume it was Kate.

They'll say he did it because of Kate. But they are spinning out of control at this point. If the personal bodyguard wanted to kill him, he has so many simple opportunities to do so. Forget about wondering how this hired gun organized a plan to secretly hire some unknown specialist poisoner to the stars of the criminal world - thats thinking too deeply. But ask why. There was no need to slip poison into his drink when he could have easily shot him outright at any time.

The writers have burned up every possible plausible reason why Red is so infatuated with Liz. They experimented with and shut down every potential connection. At first it was cute to keep everyone guessing, but they clearly just can't deliver the answer to why this show started in the first place. They're hoping everyone will forget I guess.

The spin off is called Redemption. If they're smart, they'll avoid complicated plots and redeem themselves by sticking to simple predictable action stories that they can handle, and not add in any mystique they can't handle.
I'm an optimist; but only because life isn't going to give me any other good choices.

Online it seems they haven't released any episodes since 2/23. Am I missing some?

I totally hear that sentiment. But I personally still have faith in the writers. There are a few things I can see them doing to still try and make it all tie together.

The most promising plot line is that we don't know what Red told Kirk that made Kirk just shut up and go away, it was one sentence and he understood his connection to Liz. So I think they are just stringing us along until the last episodes to tell us some mind blowing connection. Hopefully...

As for why Dembe did that, I am not sold that he did. It could have been Kate the whole time still and she could have framed Dembe because he allowed Red to do what he did to her. And she just took her time to make it the perfect frame, and when Dembe realized he ran...

Or it was Dember who is waaay more than a body guard, he has acces to everything of Red's not so crazy he or kate would make a connection with the scientist. And he didn't just kill him because he was setting up someone else to take the fall.

No your right. I didn't check, when he said the last episode I thought there was a new one or something this week...

This is good. I bet the writers count on people like you to make sense of their mess and find them a way out of it. Yes, she could have been behind it and when Red survived, Dembe figured out that he would be blamed and ran. If it "turns out" that for some reason the Cleaner had access to Red's accounts then the whole attack against him fits nicely (though why would the cleaner have that?).

It's not perfect because there's really no reason for Dembe to think that he'd be blamed, but it's easier to concoct something to answer that than to deal with the other questions.

And he didn't just kill him because he was setting up someone else to take the fall.

I don't buy the frame job part of the theory because Red was not meant to survive. Antagonize him, destroy his empire, take away his power, and then kill him - all fits with revenge and protecting Keen. But once he's dead it's over, and nobody has to take the blame.

This whole season was excellent

Wonder how much of the plot was planned in advance

From what I read none of the actors knew the ending until the last episode was shot. The only actor to know was Raymond himself.

That's is pretty cool if they were able to pull that off.
What a cliff hanger!
