Mind to reference where Halachah doesn't allow one to travel to a place where there's no Minyan?

I'm with you, ask "Emkay"
Now I'm confused. Are you saying it's not a problem l'halacha? Than why would Halachah change if the trip is more than 1-2 days?

if it doesn't make a diff for one night then it doesn't make for 2 and it certainly doesn't make a diff if its something "mega"
Same here, one night for sure i wouldn't mind, and even a few nights if its something mega and no Minyan i.e. Yellowstone i wouldn't mind. But for Shabbos i wouldn't go somewhere if there is no Minyon

I assume you mean this post.

To me, this post implies that the length of the trip matters (or Shabbos, for that matter). On which Emkay asked you if that (Day vs a week) is a personal feeling (which is completely understandable) or a difference l'halacha.

Your reply: both.

It does. My LOR told me that to go to... lets say Princeton NJ in a hotel for a few nights and not Daven with Minyon is not appropriate, but if someone goes to a place with no Minyan lets say Yellowstone then he does not think it is a problem.

Right. A night vs. A few days is my own feeling.

you may have misunderstood him, and he may have meant that once your there then there is only so far you have to go to daven with a minyan

in general, there is an issue regarding placing yourself in a situation where you will be patur. machlokes tzlach minchas chinuch regarding derech rechoka for karban pesach and a related issue is machlokes baal hamor vs milchamos by nishtapech chamimi.
this may be more of a hashkafic issue, although to some it may be used as halachic too

I heard a story that i can't verify that Rav Hutner once said "you know what's a good vacation- a vacation with out a minyan, you know whats a great vacation - a shabbos vacation without a minyan"

http://halachipedia.com/index.php?title=Davening_with_a_minyan#Missing_a_Minyan_for_vacation
ya, like visiting something specific in a place where there is no minyan
but to davka go relax in a place where there is no minyan, when there are countless places to relax with minyanim, would he still say that?
