Creation vs. Evolution

Creation

  • Evolutionary theory rests on precepts set out by old, obsolete book written over a hundred years ago
  • Scientifically corroborated by numerous peer-reviewed Facebook posts
  • Banana flawlessly designed for use as fake phone
  • Bible verses about molecular mutation and generational metamorphosis in allele frequencies clearly allegorical
  • Nine electoral votes in Alabama
  • Results of natural selection experiments have only been reproduced a few thousand times in a laboratory
  • Archaeopteryx way too awesome to have evolved into shitty birds of today
  • Far easier to understand than evolution

Evolution

  • Personal feud with God
  • Saw frog evolve from pollywog
  • Distinct morphological similarities between ancient Neanderthal and Trent
  • Nice to think we actually distantly related to family dog
  • Want to see how much more upright next figure in evolutionary chart will be standing
  • That one Star Trek: Voyager episode where helmsman Tom Paris goes through rapid evolution
  • Dazzling oratorical genius of Clarence Darrow
  • Universe was created out of nothing billions of years ago, which you’ll just have to trust us on

I think we should get some DDFers who constantly advocate science (such as @Lurker and @S209 just and more) to chime in here.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Advocate science?

sorry im late to this thread but if your talking about evolution i have always thought and this would be my response to this thread as well
Don't the same scientist that believe in evolution also believe in global warming and all the other problems we face thru nature ?
if so then why cant they use their own theories to solve their problems - We will just continue to evolve! why worry that the world is getting too hot or cold or anything else they say ...if i believe i evolved to adapt to the changing world around me then why wouldn't it happen again now and continue to happen whenever necessary?
the answer is pretty obvious which should show you they don't really believe in there own theory's and also gives you an idea of how illogical or rather irrational the actual concept of evolution is.

golden rule of science is anything but G-D
Who says humans would evolve more than go extinct?

Not all species evolve fast enough to survive.

okay but we did it once why shouldn't we be able to do it again
never hear that side of science being discussed because it doesn't really work for them

and if anything it should be much easier this time around vs being a little particle

I think you should understand evolution better before weighing in.

This is an interesting position that I don't think I've heard before. Essentially you are saying (I don't want to put words in your mouth) the world as it exists today very well could have been formed over billions of years of evolution, but is it just wasn't. Is that a fair representation?

Somewhat. I'm saying that if the laws of nature always existed (which is an idea that I find theologically problematic) the only possible (albeit implausible) way for the world to have come into existence would leave fossils.

Aberrations
Our sages disagree with you on that.

I don't get your point.

My point is, G-D created his universe exactly the way you see it, all the science so called proof showing otherwise are also part of G-D’s initial creation.

Just think for a moment, for all the science we have, where are we actually up to in understanding our universe? From the Human brain to the huge galaxies down to the tiny molecules.

Some human beings tend to believe that they understand or can understand everything they see.

Look around for a moment how EVERYTHING is running so PERFECTLY and you might rethink your position.

Do you think I was saying God did not create the universe? I was not.
