@ajk you are giving reasons why you want to use dkk. Yes, you have a right to use dkk, if you have a danish based creditcard. That's what it's meant for
Your excuse, that ua let it go through anyway is stupid, it's like saying you are allowed to steal from a shop, since no one stopped you at the door walking out!
Forget about the why and ifs, did you fill out billing country as denmark? Was that the truth?
So you got a advantage, by lying
Is it according to law fraud?stealing? I don't know
But I can tell you, that its for sure not yashrus or midwar sheker dirchak.
We all lied and cheated the system here! You might not feel bad, because united deserves it, but don't fool yourself that its all kosher
You think if united would care to allow billing in DKK only for Denmark residents you would be able to simply switch countries like that? they can check your IP and know 99% what country you are in and auto route you to correct site.
I bet you anything if you asked united before this deal if they cared which country you choose for their site they would tell you to buy a ticket from any country you please. they have it for convenience - if for whatever reason you would like to be billed and that currency, nothing else. and it does not mean you have to be a resident of that country or even be there at the time of booking. This is plain and simple common sense.
This was a clear mistake with the exchange rate, that happen to manifest under the Denmark site. you can discuss the exchange rate mistake if it's ethical or not to buy something when you know the merchant made a mistake, but there was no lying or cheating involved here, plain and simple.
