I just wanted to reach out about any confusion regarding the Amazon gift card referral bonus.We manually reviewed every referral to determine whether they were (1) fraudulent, and (2) done in good faith. I do apologize if some of you feel like you were cheated out of a referral bonus that you earned. We received nearly ten thousand referrals, of which a significant portion were fraudulent. We had to make a number of judgment calls when determining which referrals were done in good faith. For example, when users tried to refer themselves 5 times or more, we often marked the entire account as fraudulent.Please keep in mind that we're an early-stage, 3-person, angel-funded startup, and we're trying to build a free product that travelers everywhere can benefit from using. We gave out nearly ten thousand dollars in referral bonuses, and we truly appreciate the help from everybody that sent a referral to a friend.
