How about for a 2.5 yr old?
Trekking.
we did trekking with a 22 month old and it was fine (just hold on to him and make sure he does not jump around too much)

Another vote for Ergobaby.
Ergobaby is the best.
Ergobaby is what we have.
we love the baby bjorn. (it also looks best for a male to wear)
this is the one I used (not sure if its the best deal here-search around)-very basic, sturdy and comfortable:
http://www.amazon.com/BABYBJORN-Carrier-Original-Black-Cotton/dp/B0009JOSNM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1423403222&sr=8-1&keywords=babybjorn+baby+carrier
from researching online it seems that people like the babybjorn for younger infants and the ergobaby for older and bigger.
has anyone had both? if the ergobaby is really better, is it really worth more than twice the price?!
it is for a four month old
(is there a dedicated thread for this such as http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=11450)

Why particular reason? Comfort? Style?

My wife said she didn't like it, i don't recall much about it. In regards to style, they all seem the same to me.

We have the BB and the EB.
My wife never used the BB as it hurt her.  Not so for the EB.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

BB isn't nearly as comfortable and it also doesn't allow the baby to be as comfortable

My sis just used the bb to take 5.5 month old to beach in miami, baby loved it looking outward and fell asleep in it, also used it on some walks when baby was fussy in stroller, sis liked it, no complaints at all, these were 15-20 min walks and her baby is kinda floppy doesn't roll over yet so good for that age

What did you end up using? How was the experience using it in venice? I'm hopefully doing the trip you just did and don't know a thing about baby carriers. Can't believe I'm even considering wearing one!!
