U.S. Air mileage ticket date change

Hi. I booked 3 award tickets for roundtrip flight to Miami. We had a change of plans and had to switch the dates. US Air is saying that to change the dates on these award tickets we will have to pay $450 (3x150). Any way around this?
Any advice would be much appreciated. TIA!

Worked very well for me with AA last week, I called American Airlines telling them that it's forecasted to snow (last Monday) ,put me on hold and cancelled my ticket and redeposited my miles at no charge.

And guess what, it didn't even snow.

Although, Boston was hit pretty hard

When I called British airways,  they refused to give me back the miles since it was within 24 hours. They insisted that I change the flight. So I did, and moved it out a week. And then I called to cancel, with no problems 😊
