Yes. Any att or cricket phone will work with no changes .

How long does it take from activating the Cricket SIM until I get my service?
I need it to start right away so I won't get billed another month with my current carrier.

I'm using this phone with cricket. You can pop into any store and start a plan right there. If there is any free phone take it as a backup and than just switch the sims (make sure they give you the little plastic piece to adjust your sim if needed)
