Call me crazy, but I just wanted to see if category changes would be in effect after midnight, so I went and checked the only hotel in samoa that went down in category, and the category change was not showing on spg's website. Any ideas?

He seems to know that the changes will take place at midnight HOTEL time. But as I noted in my question above, that does not seem to be true (at least on the SPG website)

correct. Dan said to book stays before March 1, and then an update about midnight on the 28th. We'll check out the locations we wanted...

@Dan- any explanation why the changes aren't showing on SPG.com? Its now 9 AM in Samoa and 4 AM in Tokyo and still not showing the changes on the hotels that are supposed to change category.

Why does SPG tell me on the phone they do not know which hotels will go up in categories on 3/1 ?

Some CA hotels are pricing online already at the higher category, rep was able to still do at the lower cat.

Yea, and even though four points miami is showing category 4 on the website, I just called and they said no dice until 3/1. >:( HUCA or wait it out?
