Americans can't fly to Moscow (even for a stopover) on 2 separate tickets without a visa.

Even if purchased from delta?
Can delta merge the two tickets (Married Segments) say one of a Skyteam partner?

Maybe it can work for married segments, I never looked into it.

Nothing personal, but it is very apparent that neither of you have even the slightest clue what married segments are.  ::)

Visa requirements do not have anything to do with 2 separate tickets. You can TWOV (Travel Without Visa) if you are in Transit to another international destination from the International Sterile Zone. You need a Visa when you will be leaving that zone.

See below current visa requirements if you wanted to use this and a separate ticket to go to Israel.

So your connecting flight needs to be from SVO and needs to leave within 24 hours. If you meet those requirements no VISA is required.

Happy travels.

Have an award ticket jfk hel-> svo on finnair biz. ..bought a separate ticket on aeroflot Econ to tlv. Will the gate agent connect the bag at counter in jfk? Or will i have to get a visa and pick up bag in svo and recheck? Any advice would be helpful.
