I don't see why Apple would change the connector again. It basically is a small and as productive as it should be for a cable. The only way improvement is wireless which would be awesome if it becomes more practical.

There is no way to improve the wire. It is copper wires encased in plastic and metal mesh. What they have to improve is the housing of the connector and the area where the wire meets the housing of the connector.

I got burned (literally and figuratively) by a non-Apple magsafe charger that said Apple on it. Luckily Amazon refunded me.

From this photo I cannot see the quality, but you can see yourself that the 8 pins are not all equal in height, usually a sign of fake.

They are equal in height, hard to get a good quality photo with my phone.

I got one. Don't see the apple words on it but it's a grippy feel which fakes don't usually have and I cant rip it by hand. Fakes rip easily.

Apple words are 7 inches from the usb connector.

Interesting. Doesn't have the words. I have other oem cables. Maybe I can compare at some point

Shimbo, I had quite unpleasant experience with my purchase from your friend seller. I did like the price but my cord lasted 3 days!

First, it took 11 days to get it. I paid for my order on Feb 26 and it was delivered only on March 9th! Yesterday it stopped charging

Got mine. It works well and charges just as fast as my "apple certified" cords.

So even if it is a knockoff, Apple can't be the only people to make proper cords.
