How long does it take to transfer points from SPG to AA?
I processed the transfer about 14 business days ago (more than 3 weeks ago), I still do not see anything.

I did another transfer to Flying Blue and it got to the account within 3 business days.

I have done this in the past and it can take at least 14 days.

it took along time and i booked my AA based on the transfer and AA let me renew the reservation twice it was areal pain, I cannot remember exactly it has been at least 2 years,

You were able to book the award ticket without having the points in your account?

If you tell them you initiated the transfer they will sometimes allow you to hold a ticket

Or, you can ask them to hold your reservation for 24 hours (more info here: http://www.aa.com/i18n/utility/hold_mktpg.jsp?anchorLocation=DirectURL&title=hold). I've done it when I was waiting for an SPG transfer that took 4 business days.

AA allows 5 day holds

I am actually starting the worry that the points got lost somehow...
14 business days is a long wait!
Most people seem to get the points within less than 5 days

I have had it take longer, this was approximate 2 years ago

I had it take awhile too. Don't remember exactly how many days but def more than 10.
AA was rly nice about it tho, they called SPG to confirm i initiated the transfer and they let me book a flight even tho the points didn't hit yet.

forgot to mention that SPG account holder and AA account holder are not the same... different names... would that be an issue?
