Update: Got matched after speaking to a manager. They first said they match only within 30 days of signup, but manager let it go in the end!

I had the Barclays US airways card for several years and when i signed up it had an offer of 10K points each year on the anniversary.
Figured that should cover the annual fee.

Last year, after it switched to the Barclays Aviator AAdvantage card, the new terms didn't seem to include that but yet i still got my 10K on my AA account listed as "AVIATOR MC ANNIVERSARY MILES".

Just got a letter about the annual fee being charged soon. Wondering if i anyone else is in the same boat and can confirm if they are still giving 10K to these cards on renewal? Otherwise ill just cancel it

To answer my own question, the answer is yes.
now the question is if its worth it to keep paying the $89 fee for 10k/year...i have over 1.8M and rarely find good use of them.
