Barclaycard Aviator (AA)
« on: March 02, 2015, 09:10:38 PM »
Figured it's worth a new thread, as it's almost here. Rumors are that it will be available for new signups, not just conversion of existing USAir cards.

4 versions confirmed:

Seems targeted but there's an offer for 2 bonus miles for every dollar spent (up to 2,500 bonus miles) in supermarkets, drug stores and electronic stores. Offer from July 1- September 30 and must be register by July 20.

Got an email about it. The link in it is personalized that's why I believe it's targeted.

Are AA miles even worth anything anymore? Do people still buy and sell them?

Not sure if this is the best place for this. I combined my new AA number created by my Aviator card to my existing AA account. I just called AA, and they confirmed that although the Aviator card has my since deleted AA number, it has merged into my profile, and any benefits of having the AA card I get with my existing account.

Is your question will your Aviator card give you the benefits on your now merged AA FFN? Yes, as long as that number is on your reservations it shouldn't be a problem to receive the benefits of the card (10% rebate, priority, free bag, etc).

My question was, the aviator had a now defunct AA number attached to it, as that account was closed and the miles deposited in my older AA account. By using my open AA account advantage number on my reservation, would I still get the benefits of an open AA card.

Question: Now that my old US Air Barclaycard MC was converted to the new Aviator Red MC, can I get the signup bonus again?

I don't see it in either mine or my wife's AA account. They said 6-8 weeks after June 30. Oh well...wait and see i guess.

Just got this email, but don't know if it's targeted.
when you spend $500 or more in new purchases each calendar month in December, January and Februaryš you'll earn 5,000 bonus miles.
Life is as good as you make it...
