Maybe, don't forget, Air Tahiti is already bookable with AA, it really depends if they will be releasing more award space, as of now it is still very difficult to book with AA in the summer, availability is not great

IINM, you can book Air Tahiti Nui with AA miles but not Air Tahiti, which you need to get from PPT to BOB.

???  You can get to BOB without real cash many years ago.  I have used Citi TY points.  You can use Barclay Arrival points etc too.
