Got this email from Norwedgies.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the aviation industry, including ongoing travel restrictions and changing government advice, Norwegian has made the difficult decision to discontinue the operation of its long-haul flights.

We're very sorry for any impact this may have on your travel plans. If you have an upcoming booking that has been affected by this change, you'll be contacted by our Customer Care Team.

Going forward, Norwegian will continue to build on its foundation as an award-winning industry leader in low cost travel, offering competitive fares across a range of routes in Norway, the Nordics, and key European destinations.

Your Norwegian Reward membership will continue for as long as you would like, meaning you値l still be able to redeem any CashPoints and Rewards you have on flights in our European short-haul network. You値l also continue to have access to great travel benefits, such as exclusive flight discounts and offers from our global Reward partners.

Thought this was discussed on DDF but I知 not finding it.

After Norwegian痴 long-haul operations went bust, some Norwegian executives founded Norse Atlantic Airlines, with the plan to operate a similar long-haul LCC operation as Norwegian.

There was a lot of talk about whether Norse Atlantic would get DOT approval to operate flights to the US, and they finally got approval a few days ago. They announced they値l be starting flights to the US (Oslo to LAX, FLL and SWF) this upcoming summer (2022).

Let痴 hope they expand to a real NYC airport like Norwegian flew to JFK

IINM at some point Norwegian was operating both SWF and JFK, with SWF for the cheaper Ireland-based NAI subsidiary operating flights to Cork/London etc., and JFK for the NAX flights to CPH/OSL/ARN

Oops, maybe it was JFK-London.

My point is the SWF was the NAI weird/cheap routes.
