so is there an advantage of using a TA if you are just buying the basic lowest fare with no bags etc...?
No. Make sure to book through norwegian.no for the cheapest prices.

I am flying out from JFK with Norwegian, I do see see they have different carry on luggage limits than other carriers, for example BA carry on is 56cm x 45 x 25, Norwegian has 55x40x23. My hand luggage which I always use is with the wheels and handle 56x44x23.
Does anyone have experience with Norwegian out of JFK, are they strict?
What if without the handle it will be conforming, should I bring along a screw driver, I see it's very easy to take it off.

They don't measure hand luggage, as long as it looks normal you'll be ok.

Are they checking the weight by the gate or  just by check in?

Do TA's still have the ability to book Norwegian for the same price & get free meals + seating?
Does booking on Expedia give me free bags and meals? Anyone has recent experience with this?

My recent test was that yes, it's the same as a TA booking

I just booked a flight for today at SWF through a 3rd party site. They charged me for the seat. I can’t get through to anyone. Who should I try to contact?

Which site and who charged you and what are you trying to accomplish now?

Hi All,

Something to be aware of when you book Norwegian:

Dear Passenger,

Norwegian apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the delay of your bag. When assessing all claims for delayed baggage, we will cover up to a maximum of 40EUR for toiletries, and we normally cover 50% of the clothing purchased (the continued use of the new clothing is taken into account). As an exception, we will cover 100% of the clothing you have purchased.

Your claim has now been finalized in the amount of 46USD. You can find the details below:
Clothing:   20GBP
Toiletries:   20GBP
Total:         40GBP = 46USD

The transfer will be made to the account that you provided. Please note that the transfer could take 1-2 weeks to reflect on your account.

Kind Regards,
Deyna
Norwegian Baggage Department

My Response (It refers to clothing):

This reasoning is completely asinine on many accounts! I did not need it. I only purchased it because of the airline's negligence. I wouldn't have needed it if Norwegian would have done the job right, then this wouldn't have happened. If you want to pick up the clothing I purchased, I would be glad to provide you with the address where it can be obtained for "YOUR CONTINUED" use.

Regardless, I was told by the baggage representative at the airport I would be reimbursed up to 40 GBP. Please send me the "entire" 40 GBP. 40 GBP does not equal  46 USD. 40 GBP equals 48.55 USD.

Calm down please. LH also has a policy only to cover 50% and once with denied boarding issue the rate they gave resulted less $100. It's 2 and 55 cents here, relax.

Norwegian is stopping all its long distance flights from Sweden and Denmark due to low profitability, the airline announced on Wednesday morning.

Routes between Stockholm and Copenhagen to the USA and Thailand will all be stopped from March 29th, 2020.

Flights will continue to operate from Oslo to the USA, but the Oslo-Bangkok route will not continue in summer 2020, and no final decision had been made on the future of winter flights from the Norwegian capital to Krabi and Bangkok.

Used to be that if you took the middle tier (seat+bag+meal) you'd be able to select any economy seat for free, including first and exit rows. I checked a bunch of long- and short-haul flights yesterday and they are now charging extra for first row, exit row, and front of the plane. Price varied by seat and route - around $8.50 for a short-haul front seat, to around $70 for long-haul exit row.

Not sure when this change happened, but a few weeks ago those seats were still definitely free.

Note that TAs can still select any available seat, but their fare basis is higher (although it comes with 2 bags, not one). Also, you can't use the NOK trick to save a bunch of $$$'with them

Smart of them. Pain in the @$$ for condiments but moves like this will push them toward sustainability.

You’re headed back to Lofoten?
