It's att which is usually very good.
As I always say, you need to choose a carrier that's good for you where you are most of the time.

Per line
The thing is you pretty much need to buy your own phones

Even paying for a top phone outright is not crazy since your saving on the monthly bill. Personally I would just buy last year's model

2.5 GB is per line. I moved one line last month to check (from H2O), and it has been working great so far. Will move 2 remaining lines later this month before renewal at H2O. As mentioned, it is on AT&T (actually cricket is now owned by AT&T), and speeds are capped at about 8 Mbps. If you finish up your 2.5GB data, you can still go on internet, just at reduced speeds (unlike H2), where you are out of luck unless you add extra money).

They also have $25 referral bonus (both both persons), and it posts in about 75 days. If anyone is switching to cricket and needs referral, please let me know.

Any questions, I will be happy to answer.

Why is it $100 a month for 5 lines and not $75?  35*5=175 -$100, what am i missing?

Very easy. When I ordered the sim online (directly from cricket), I selected port my number, gave my account info (for H2O), they verified it immediately, and then sim was shipped. When I received the sim, I went online (before inserting sim), activated my line, and within 5-10 minutes, I was on cricket!!
