Why is it impossible to get through to them tonight on both Chat and CS phone number?
I have cricket. Their service is great, but their costumer service is terrible!

I just received this text from them this evening.

Cricket Wireless here thanking you for your patience while we resolved issues that may have affected some of your services Friday night. We apologize. We know you depend on your service and we failed to meet those expectations last night. We commit to working harder to keep you connected.

But it's probably a matter of time before they catch on and stop it.
There is nothing for anyone to catch on and stop it... The way it works (I think) whenever you call a number through gv, gv calls the number for you. gv somehow assigns a number to every phone number so all the app is doing is calling the number that is assigned to the number you are calling and that number is a US number (once you find out that number.. when they send a text to your gv # a number will come up  and that is the phone number assigned to that number. now you can call or text  directly using that number and they can respond text or call using your reg gv # which will come up by them... This may be an option if you don't have a smart phone you can call or text from the gv. Site a canadian # and find out what the number they r given and from then on you can call from your unsmart phone that designated number or even on your smartphone use that designated number for texting to the Canadian person so you won't have to use their app for texting & ask them to always text the gv number so you can respond to them in the same # so the conversation flows...

i have cricket for a few months already and they are great ! its better from sprint/t-mobile dono about verizon
you get 10GB LTE for $40 per month (with 5 lines) but if you are smart you can do what im doing... i start the month on the $20 plan, after using up the 2.5GB i switch to the $30 plan and i get another 5GB ..! after i use up the 5GB i switch back to the $20 plan and i get another 2.5GB !! at the end of the game i pay only $25 per month for 10GB LTE ! because i was half of the month on the $20 plan and  half on the $30 plan they charge a total of $25!
i dont know how many times you can change plan but 2 times for sure! i do that trick already for a few months
Still works? because a while back when I went to Canada I upped my plan then when I came back I downgraded and my data allowance said 7 however when I went Pesach when I came back and downgraded I went back to 2 which is even worse because I paid for a week of 5gb and once I downgraded they included all my data that I used at 5gb now counted for the 2 even though on their app it said it started over when I came back but I got a warning text @2gb based on the whole month (My cell has its own counter  that's how I know it included everything)

I assume he was referring to Cricket catching on about switching plan mid month not Google voice.

Yes, correct.
That is what I was referring too.
But thanks "4yourinfo" for explaining the GV thing.

Just worked for me a few days ago it doesn't add the new plan to what you have left from your old plan rather starts from 0 and gives you what ever limit you have for the current plan you are signed up to

Anyone know of a way to purchase discounted cricket refill cards or any store that sells them that can be bought using a cashback portal or can be purchased with store gift cards that can be purchased at a discount? TIA.

Is there any specific phone that needs to be used for this service or any At&t phone will work? How about At&t go phone?

Any AT&T phone will work, even go phones.

But if you buy it new it's a good idea to leave it off for a few days and then call in to AT&T to get the unlock code, that way you'll be able to use it with T-Mobile in the future if you'd wish to.

Similar. Personally, I like cricket a lot better. With H20 I had more dropped calls and also delay before dialing/ringing.
Also, cricket still allows to change plans multiple times midmonth with pro rated fee
