what happens when tons of ppl sell thousands of these gift cards
will these sites buy them all up?

As in all investments, do not invest more money than you can afford to lose lest you lose more than you can afford. Duh.

well the way i view it, i cant imagine these sites offer less than 60% of the value
so at worst i break even? (ignoring MS aspect)

And if you don't get the $ by the time you need to pay your CC bill? AT LEAST you should be able to afford being without the money for a month or two. More than that depends on your risk tolerance.

that i can definitely handle
i would not like to lose the money permanently
i can afford to be without the money for a bit
but i appreciate the advice. unfortunately not all view it that way

sure they have a big demand for staples cards that's why they only have a small % off if you were to buy them
