That's a ridiculous rumor. It's not a Grand Central Station yeshiva and was never meant to be. The place is full and bustling with activity.

Not necessarily true. It is most definitely not full. And they are struggling. They do have students from around the world but for the most part it's not as successful as they hoped. At least not as of now

BH

The Idea is great the place is horrible. lets talk about Texas or even Cali.
The Baal Shem Tov went around for the sole purpose of getting Jews to say, baruch (drawing down) Hashem into our lives.

That's like saying that Harvard is upset that they don't have as many students as Ohio State.

Not sure what your comparison is. All I'm trying to say is that for all the money that they gave expected it to be a huge bustling center for chabad activity and schooling. and so far it has not lived up to that standards

+1. I am not putting down what they have there, I'm just saying it didn't meet expectations.

I remember not long ago when the TV show Extreme Home Makeovers came and  to a house a few blocks away. Completely knocked down and rebuilt a beautiful place in a week. Is this something similar?

You guys with your need to stay within NY/NJ make me laugh.
It's a big country. No need to live in a crime ridden area just to avoid pricey housing.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I think that moving into DTW or CLE city limits would be as dumb as TTN.

Nobody should have to go to sleep to sirens or need a bodyguard at night.
