Why would this be better than doing libun kal with a hot stone?
I think you are mixing two types of kashering together
Libun kal is not very practical in most sinks since parts of the sink and counter will get ruined. Iruy even with scan even miluban is not the same as a kli rishon.
so if you put rocks in your sink that boil the water that's not the same as kli rishon?
Explain exactly what you are doing
putting bricks on the fire for a while and filling the sink with hot water then putting the bricks in the sink
I would imagine that the sink will not reach a rolling boil. What is against the rock will bubble but not the rest. Never tried it though.If it does not reach a boil then that should be worse than iruy since it is not poured directly on each spot.
You move the rocks around when you put them in the water against all surfaces
