Are these similar to the visa gc that I can load them onto a red card worth the pin being the last 4 numbers on the card?

i changed my mind about these. my current stance, not that anyone out there has to care, is that without an ink, this deal isnt worth it.   I think the fees amount to 12.90, and so you end up 7.10 ahead of  the game.  But then you have the hassle of going to liquidate them. I would rather swipe my cc at target for 1K than have to bother them with 200, then 100, etc. so for $7, i wouldnt go to staples, buy the GCs, have to unload them.

Similar but different.
They are loadable, but the PIN is either printed on a slip of paper in the package or it can be set by telephone. (possibly on line as well, but by phone is very simple.)

ETA: Even if the PIN is in the package, you can set it by phone as well.

I missed that- sorry.  So then I agree with you.  The $6 or so gained is probably not worth the extra stop at Staples and extra swipes at Target.

If you are referring to MC gift cards, they often come with a pin in the package, so you don't need to call. You can also run them as credit onto RC, assuming that your friendly target rep lets you load with "credit".
