Actually it is.
Doesn't make sense."A friend of mine became a BT"
That is a terrible perspective. You can't get "stuck" in a dead-end job unless you allow yourself to. Sure, Shmelly's example is more concrete because he actually has his own business, but it applies to everyone. For anyone who spends time on DDF because they can get done everything that's required of them and have time left over should, instead of spending that time here, go out for a walk and think about how you can get to the next step in your career. For some, it could be starting a business, for others, getting a promotion at their current job. If a promotion is not on the table, think about how you can use your skill set in a more profitable way. There's always a way out, and sometimes it just requires some (or much) thought to think of ways to make your situation better, and to instill in yourself the courage to pursue them. Take your life off of auto-pilot.
