Amex Gold v Platinum

Hi All,

I just an offer for a gold business card with a 75k bonus. It would require me to spend 5k within 3 months and an additional 5k within the same time frame for the additional 25k points.

I haven't really used Ames in the past.

1) Is there any real benefit to having platinum v gold?
2) How do the points compare to Chase Ink in terms of how you can use them?
3) How good does my credit have to be for Amex?

IN Short
1) you can have both, Plat has AF and there is benefits with that.
2) Transfers to different mileage programs.
3) As long you have a decent credit you should be able to get approved.

But there are write ups on each question that you asked.
