Is there anyway to transfer Ultimate Reward points to a friend. I know Chase has made it hard, if not impossible, to transfer them directly. But is there a backdoor like transferring the points to an airline partner and then to the friend's airline miles account?

You can transfer UR to your friends UR but they can shut you down. or you can transfer to his millage account, but once you transfer it to your millage account you cant transfer to his.

once I transfer to one mileage account I can no longer transfer to a different mileage account?

Correct. Once in a mileage account, it stays.

Definitely safer than transferring to his Chase account.

Do you know that from experience it hasn't been an issue? Officially I think chase only allows you to transfer to your "domestic partner".

Yes I did it, and when I called to ask if I can transfer they said as long as the last name matches it shouldn't be a problem.

What do you guys think of a one time 25k transfer to a friend's united acct? Have there been shutdowns from just one transfer? I would use mine but don't have the explorer card...

I've done it a couple of times without issue's... But YMMV

No it is Mississippi. When you get divorced in Mississippi you are still brother and sister. So in Mississippi if so are transferring to your sisters account you are not violating UR's T&C's.
