Flight delay?

I'm scheduled for a flight to PHL from LGA, they just announced that due to weather there will be delays. I'm figuring that it may be postponed or cancelled. I have a second BA reward flight to Florida from there which now I think we will miss. Any advice? Insurance?

Are they both flights booked through BA? If so, call BA. YMMV.

not sure how this works with skipping the first flight but maybe grab a rental and drive to NYC....

how would renting a car and driving to nyc help him?
