Denial on Chase return protection claim

I was denied chase return protection claim on the basis that a textbook is a "seasonal item."
That sounds ridiculous if you ask me!
Any ideas for what to do?

Gary from VOW  says it was pain in the b**t when he  called  CHASE about  his phone screen damage. He used CHASE SP. chase kept writing back to him about 3 times  but  eventually he got paid 90% of the actual amount.

These benefits apply to any amex logo cards issued by any issuer like CITI, BOA
or mostly/only those amex cards issued by amex itself?

Do the terms exclude jewelery? I belive amex does, not sure about chase
