Best place to apply for a passport in NYC (not expedite)

What's a good location to apply for a passport in Brooklyn or Manhattan where I will not have to wait on line for hours.
A walk in place preferred but not an expedite place where I will have to pay extra fees.

Not sure. But if you have all your paperwork done, shouldn't be too bad. You can likely make an appointment IIRC.

the PO in midwood only has appointments

I just called a couple of the post offices in my area to schedule an appointment, no response. You got to wonder if they even have a phone there.

they are a PITA!!  drove me crazy i had to retake pics of my wife and daughter for stupid reasons. every time my baby coughed they told me quiet your baby. overall took hours and bad experience.

Not Me was the only one there. But PO definitely not better.

wewere also the only ones. they didnt even let us sit on other chairs because other reps MIGHT show up

I got my 7 month old at the time her passport at the Library by Grand Army Plaza. Went Monday morning right when they opened, was the 2nd person on line. Quick, great experience.

If you can't get an appointment, there is usually one in the area that has drop-in hours; no appointment needed.

For instance, there is one in Garden City, NY that you don't need an appointment.

Find out from your local post office.

Just make sure you have all your documents and photos in order and separate checks for each app. Also- fill out the application before you get there. Otherwise they'll make you come back.

ive gone there multiple times, always had a good experience.
