What do you all do when you have a stomach bug? It's a catch-22. Can't have coffee because it makes it worse. If I don't have coffee, I end up with a headache in addition to the stomachache.

The first half of your post is useless.

The second (human?) part is interesting, thanks.
Would leaving it in a regular pitcher the whole time and letting it sink to the bottom not do the trick? Or pouring through a regular coffee filter at the end, as someone mentioned upthread?

18 hours is interesting. A while back I did a couple cold brews Just overnight. But recently I've only really had it strong after 30 hours, while half that time it tasted sort of bitter.

Looking for some more firsthand experiences.
Not sure what you're looking for. Every 'expert' says coarse is better for cold brew. These are apparently some of the reasons. You certainly can do it with medium grind and see how it tastes. I don't know what you mean by "...it makes it more annoying to pour off without filtering." I would never consider not filtering. I guess you just chuck it in the pitcher and filter when it's ready, but I wonder if not having it more spread out within the water would affect the extraction.

I happen to not have tried it yet
I don’t particularly drink coffee on Shabbos afternoon- I do however want to try the ice cream in coffee idea in general :)
And to that end I got inspired: I transferred a good amount of ice cream from storage into the kitchen freezer for easy access :D
Maybe will try tommorow but no promises !

Coffee is about to go up due to last year's poor yields. Nestle and Lavazza are talking big hikes in January.

I advise filtering cold brew through paper filter. fridge life is longer without the microgrinds in there
after trying every method out there my favorite is the net bags sold on Amazon their tech washable too

yes u can let it sit in a pitcher and slowly pour off once it settles but it  leads to waste and there can be fine particles that float also theres a sheen that sets on top when not using filet bags
What ratios do u use
