If I wanted to figure out if an item fits in an envelope (let's say the envelope is 8x11").

All I'd have to do is measure the product width + (height x 2) and make sure it's not more than 16

The same thing for length. Product length + (height x 2) isn't greater than 22.

Correct?
Would there be any situation where this won't work?

What exactly are you trying to do? Are you referring to a box or an envelope?

Figure out an easy formula to know which size envelope an item needs.

Bubble envelope.

Are you allowed to have liquids during a fast?
It would explain a lot of posts because they must be drinking a lot of Kool-Aid!!!  :)
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

No liquids allowed. But people drink a lot before, so that can explain the residual Kool-Aid...

I just heard that any mars brand chocolates such as snickers, milky way, Twix, m&ms etc are powdered milk. Can anyone confirm that?

Anyone know the methodology Amazon uses when it chooses a book to display on it's Kindle ads/mock-ups? They used to use "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children", but now I notice they use "A Wrinkle in Time," "Ready Player One," and "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn."

I'm simply curious if they just choose a book they think will resonate, or if publishers pay to get exposure.

Thinking about it more, I would assume that they come up with books that were wildly popular, well-known, and that have a really memorable opening page. That is what would make sense from a marketing standpoint. They want to you recognize it and say, hey, I like that book, let my buy this Kindle.

Why does "tasty" mean that it tastes good, but "smelly" means that it smells bad?

Well akkkkkshully... that one has a pretty simple explanation. "Drive" (the noun) has always meant the path leading up to your house, so driveway is where you drive your car up to your house. Parkways were created as a type of road meant to feel like driving through a park, with landscaping, grassy medians, etc.

Fascinating! I never knew there was a real reason.

I recall when Eastern Parkway had signs explaining the Parkway concept (and IINM stated that it was the first one).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I thought it's because they often look like parking lots :)

Yup. Back in the 80s they had signs about it. I don't know why they are no longer there. Maybe they were removed when they did a major renovation in the early 90s (IIRC) and were never put back.
