My mother taught me to make scrambled eggs because she was tired of making it for me at odd hours during bein hazmanim.

All the men I know who know how to cook learned on their own, Chassidish or otherwise.

My mother never taught me how to cook, because I’m really not interested in cooking.
But I actually have a relative that’s a professional cook, and had a few friends in Yeshiva that now how to cook maybe not professional but pretty well.

My Mother didn't teach me how to cook, because nobody besides her belonged in the kitchen. Ever. I did enjoy watching her and learned on my own as I grew up
