Windows PRO vs Home can usually be ~$100 difference. How about the SSD? Weight?
Pro comes more or less free with work laptops with a "$2041" MSRP. The real question is why the G15 is $1149 and the Vostro is $2041.
In my notes, the difference is "plastic versus metal, 3 yrs versus 1 yr, 1 M2 versus 2 M2s, 4 hours versus 12 hours, and about 2lbs in weight." Agav the hardware in the G15 performs significantly better than the hardware in the Vostro, because the lean build works against the cooling. That's why I opted for my Swift X versus this computer (which was an option at the time) - the cooling is stupendous. (A friend had bought the Vostro - without consulting me, of course - and we ran tests converting large 4K videos versus my computer, which has the lower TDP 15W Ryzen 7 5800U with the same eight cores. His took 80 minutes and mine took 90 minutes. His computer throttled down to 3.8 GHz on all cores, mine to 3.5GHz - even though his official minimum is 3.0 and mine is 1.9.)
