Most blood test fasts allow water.

Phone fell in to water, does covering in rice actually help ? How long do I leave it for ?

Yes. Passed thru on the highway. Pretty cool. (Actually not it was 123F at the time) lol. Don't get stuck as help may be a long way in coming. Gas is like 7$ a gal there. There is 1 gas station along the route

Lunch that day was pretty cool. Held a piece of bread out of the window, with a piece of cheese, and I had grilled cheese within 2 minutes!

There is also a very serious biblical prohibition to expose oneself to ideas of minus. - extraterrestrial beings with powers, that can be placated by human actions, is the very essence of avoda Zara. A cardinal sin.
