It's been a long time since I went to Simchas Bais Hashoeva in CH, and thinking that I'd like to take my kids this year, and I have a couple of questions:

- Where can I find a schedule? List of performers?
- Any tips for parking?
- Will Kingston Ave restaurants be open late enough for a little melave malka? Even on Motzei Shabbos chol hamoed? (I also assume that they have sukkahs, or that there is access to a sukkah).

TIA for help and suggestons.
The million dollar question, How do I know which night is Avrum Fried singing?

While it will be nice to see Avraham fried, I will probably only be able to go Sat. Night.

Do you normally capitalize "Jew"?
Do you normally capitalize "gentile"?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

So is gentile
I guess the next rhetorical question would be, why would you capitalize one and not the other?

Gentile is more like atheist, which isn't capitalized. The same way atheism is the absence of religion, gentile is the absence of Jew.
I'm not who you think I am.

I think of it as light and dark one is the light and one is the absence of light. So I don't think of it so much as its own entity

I think it starts every evening around 9:30pm for the outsiders SBH (i.e. Those looking for performers, A Fried, etc.) and around 1:30am for the insiders (the real stuff, goes on until 6am). I haven't seen a list of performers, will post if I see one).

While I have no specific tips for Parking (non issue for me), I would imagine that parking next to George Wingate high school might be a viable option. Just a few blocks to walk from there.

Restaurants should be open, though this year Motzoei Shabbos is Leil Hoshana Rabba so everyone heads to 770 for Tehillim which starts at 1am (IINM).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/53627/should-the-word-gentile-be-capitalized
This one is the reason I would have written
Quote
Gentiles are not a specific group. They are everyone who is not Jewish. They do not represent any particular ethnicity, belief system, national group, or ideology — other than being not Jewish.
Words with a similar scope are "pagan," "heathen," and "foreign." Even though "pagan" and "heathen" could be taken as representing a very coarsely defined type of religion, they do not represent distinct groups or belief systems. I think most people would agree that these words should not be capitalized.
The online dictionaries that I checked show "gentile" as a lowercase word, in contrast to other proper nouns such as "Jew" that they display capitalized:
Based on this evidence, it's safe to treat "gentile" as a standard lowercase word.

How late do you think the restaurants are open? (I haven't lived in NYC for years, but I imagine at least to 12am?)

During SBH very late. Leil Hoshana Rabba - not necessarily, though I can imagine Ess & Bentch will stay open. (Not talking about "restaurants" rather the Kingston Avenue food establishments).

What's there to elaborate? To summarize in one sentence: Part 1 has a crowd of spectators, part 2 has a crowd of participants.

It starts that early?

I don't think I've gone before 3-4 in many years (besides bringing my kids in the beginning of the night)

I asked my son prior to posting. I thought it was 2am, but he said 1am so I split it halfway (אי בעית אימא 1:30 Jewish Standard Time).
