I am not questioning anyone's beliefs or their religion. I assume anyone who practices a religion believes their religion is the one true religion.

So then, why would common sense dictates I shouldn't give to what I believe is a false religion.

Common sense dictates we don't know which if any are false religions. That is why I don't judge if a religion is false or not but judge if at its core it is doing good.

I am not conceding that common sense is what you say it is. That seems to be the go-to phrase to try and say that someone has to agree with your opinion because you decided to call it common sense. Check your premise. Just because you or anyone else calls something common sense doesn't make it so. The only thing which matters is if it is sense not if it is common or whether you call it that. Some of the biggest nonsense in the world gets promoted as common sense.

I read your comment as you were using uncommon sense and not common sense. If that was not what you meant then I misread it.

The problem is you always want to have it both ways. Can we use this as a definition for common sense: a basic ability to perceive, understand, and judge that is shared by ("common to") nearly all people.

Why did you have to go there? 
As a kid I put my hand on a coil that was just turned off. I used it to boost myself to a cabinet to get matches to play with.

The worst part was no sympathy. I was lucky not to get a beating.
All I can remember was my Mom yelling "Good for you, maybe now you will learn".
For the record if burning my hand didn't stop me a slap on the wrist is not going to do anything.
