When something takes 30 minutes as opposed to 20 minutes. Do you say it took 50% or 33% longer?

"It took 10 minutes longer"

When someone says it’ll be ready “in the next 10 minutes”, does it mean when this 10 minutes is up or the next 10 ? :)

The words mean within 10 minutes of making the statement, but in reality, it means it will be t least half an hour.

They should have said "within the next 10 minutes"

Milk coming out of my freezer has been especially "piece-y" lately. Any good solutions to this? Will running it through a blender help?

is it very old? We found that milk older than a certain number of months was like that, and ended up tossing a lot.

It hasn't been kept in the freezer much longer than we've kept milk frozen in the past. Could be it's from a time when there were supply issues (happens here occasionally) and it may have been previously frozen or run into other issues before it got to us. Regardless, I'd like to avoid throwing it out, if possible.

Lol, we have so much milk that if we ever have a slight doubt that the milk might be bad we just toss it. We get more milk than we can possibly drink from the boxes

My  prizes from CV :)

We're not quite there yet, but we're definitely not short of milk. I just really don't like throwing it out if I can help it.

You might notice that the thawed milk is separated or looks like it has a grainy texture. This goes for both dairy milk and plant-based milks. It’s totally normal; this happens because the fat separates during freezing, which causes the milk to look grainy. The higher the fat content, the more you’re likely to notice this. So because of their lower fat content, low-fat and skim milk tend to freeze a little better than whole milk. To restore some smoothness after thawing, you can stir, shake, or beat it with a hand mixer or immersion blender.

While it’s perfectly safe to drink milk that’s been frozen, since the texture isn’t quite the same, frozen milk is best suited for cooking, baking, and making smoothies.

See, I was gonna say, "I don't see how you'll fit the freezer in the blender", but it's a good thing we have other people here who are less "makes-me-want-to-toss-YOU-in-the-blender"-like.
