I’ve seen ppl make these personal version of google maps with their own markups. Is there a way I can do this directly from the phone app, or I have to find it on some browser?
What do you mean by markup?

How would you describe The Jerusalem Post?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

How would you describe The Jerusalem Post?

"The Jerusalem Post is a daily English-language newspaper based in Jerusalem, Israel. It covers local and international news, with a focus on issues relevant to the Jewish community and the Israeli government. The paper has a strong reputation for objective reporting and analysis."

I mean, you had to know someone would try DDFs latest toy 😆. (This is actually an eminently Google able question, so not really a good choice from creative answers to take AI for a spin.)

WOW! I would have guessed from what is showing up on my main page it was a left-wing paper.

I don't think it's hardcore left wing. I think it's centrist right. I believe it was more left wing, and was taken over by someone further to the right a few years back. Maybe like a Mitt Romney type Republican. It's not as anti religious as some of the more left wing papers, although it's pretty far from being pro the Ultra Orthodox sector either. Not really sure exactly where to categorize them.

They're not Netanyahu fans, iinm.

Google had an app called My Maps, if I recall correctly it integrates with the Google maps app.

In Israel right wing and left wing have 2 different connotations:
1) Nationalistic/anti-Arab vs.  pro-Arab
2) Religious/conservative vs. liberal/progressive

there are lots of people (like the Jpost] who may be right-wing nationalistically, but are anti-religious. There are others who are religious but are not nationalistic.

Will Rabbi Osher Eisemann's ongoing legal troubles engender more sympathy for
those outside our community who are accused of crimes by the judicial system?
Do you want to play a board game, digitally or in Lakewood NJ? PM me. (Can be asynchronous, i.e. take turns whenever)

This and other cases have altered my view of the justice system forever.

Is skiing safe? I know a couple of kids that got into skiing accidents last year and are largely paralyzed now. Today, a 10 year old kid got into an accident on Hunter Mountain and is currently in critical condition. (Please say a kapitel tehillim for Aryeh ben Yenta Chaya bsoch shaar cholei yisrael.) When I hear of a family planning on taking their kids skiing, my instinctive first thought is "Don't go". (I'm wise enough not to voice it - I know when my opinion isn't solicited.) Am I paranoid, or is this sport too dangerous to justify the risks, particularly with younger kids?

Halachically safe? Or "Ratzon Hashem" safe?
I remember Rav Berkovits talking about this general concept once (I think, skydiving was the example, but not sure). He basically said anyone who says it is ossur is totally wrong. On the other hand, he wouldn't advise it, primarily because there are other things to do.
Another example was when there were a bunch of stabbings by Shaar Shechem. He said you can certainly use Shaar Shechem - but why wouldn't you use Shaar Yafo instead, where no stabbings had taken place?

Ok guys I have a delicate question here I’m pretty sure no one here will know the details so I’ll pose the question here as a starter:

I lent my laptop to someone who lives in isreal. I happen to have covenant eyes installed on it.( it’s a software that takes random screenshots of the screen and emails it to me). I think I did tell him about it but not 100% sure. Now I know this guys wife has a little brother in isreal who probably comes over once in a while. I’ve seen screenshots of some basketball games etc.
but then today…I started seeing… let’s just say,things I shouldn’t be seeing.
Now I don’t assume it’s the from the guy I lent to as he’s in yeshiva all day and is above suspicion. His wife im also ruling out. So I assume it’s her little brother who comes over to visit.

The question is : what do I do?
I don’t want to ruin this kid but I also don’t want him to stumble anymore.
I can’t really tell them bc that’ll be way too embarrassing to no end.
