Is there a software that can take a series of images/PDFs and crop out the same section of each, and then present those crops side-by-side?

Basically, if you have a bunch of invoices (100s of them), and you want to see a specific portion of them all, can you select that portion and the software will automatically crop that portion out of all those invoices. They all have the exact same layout.

Yes, there are several software tools available that can help you automate the process of cropping out the same section of multiple images/PDFs and present them as separate files. Here are a few options you can consider:

1. Adobe Acrobat: Adobe Acrobat is a popular software for working with PDF files. It offers a feature called "Crop Pages" that allows you to crop out specific sections of PDF pages. You can apply the same crop to multiple pages using the "Apply to Multiple" option.

2. Adobe Photoshop: Adobe Photoshop is a powerful image editing software that provides various tools for cropping and editing images. You can create an action in Photoshop to automate the cropping process and apply it to multiple images.

3. ImageMagick: ImageMagick is a command-line tool that can be used for batch processing of images. It has extensive functionality for cropping and manipulating images. You can write a simple script using ImageMagick commands to crop out the desired section of each image in a batch.

4. Python with libraries like OpenCV or PIL: If you are comfortable with programming, you can use Python along with libraries like OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) or PIL (Python Imaging Library) to automate the cropping process. These libraries provide functions to read, manipulate, and save images. You can write a Python script to iterate over a series of images, crop out the same section, and save them as separate files.

These are just a few examples, and there are many other image and PDF processing software tools available. You can explore these options based on your specific requirements and preferences.

Thanks YoGPT

Are there any free ones that don't rely on self-coding?

Yes, there are free software tools available that don't require coding to crop images/PDFs. Here are a few options:

1. IrfanView: IrfanView is a lightweight and feature-rich image viewer and editor. It supports batch processing and has the ability to crop images. You can use its batch conversion feature to crop multiple images at once.

2. GIMP: GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a free and open-source image editing software with advanced features. It allows you to crop images individually or in batch mode using its batch processing capabilities.

3. PDFill PDF Tools: PDFill PDF Tools is a free PDF editing software that provides various tools for manipulating PDF files. It includes a feature called "Crop PDF Pages" that enables you to crop out specific sections of PDF pages. You can use it to process multiple PDFs.

4. XnView MP: XnView MP is a powerful and versatile image viewer, organizer, and editor. It supports batch processing and has a built-in cropping feature. You can use it to crop multiple images simultaneously.

These tools should provide the functionality you need to crop out the same section of multiple images/PDFs without requiring coding knowledge.

It may be easiest to cover the PDF to images and work from there

Thanks! I actually tried GIMP already (doesn't work for what I need) but I'll try the others.

You can either try it yourself

I think this qualifies as a random question... I also think I won't bother answering it.

I think I recently saw a print ad for a new Jewish buy/sell website. What site might it have been?

If I wanted to accept a one time large ($20k) payment from somebody using a CC. What is a good service to use? This is a legitimate spend not MS
I don't want to have to sign up for merchant accounts since this is a one time thing

I figured the most popular companies aren't the cheapest. So I'm looking for the smaller ones

The 2.9% plus .10-.30 is pretty much the industry standard.
The main players outside of merchant accounts are basically stripe, paypal, and square.
I'm not really aware of any others.

mentos with Diet Coke

Promised my boys to do this for them sometime this summer.

Is it feasible to get the bottle cap back on before the eruption? Always wondered what would happen then…

Make the mento stick to the inside of the cap using a tiny piece of gum or tape, then put the cap on the bottle. After a minute or so, the mento should fall down into the soda

Related to mentos - for some reason a tiny bit of grape juice makes soda foam up more than usual.
Always happens after Kiddush on shabbos when there's that tiny bit left in the cup after drinking the grape juice.

I never tested it with wine.

So that you can easily navigate to DDMS. I use it all the time.
