Hey hey hey, be daam likaf zichus. I work for a day camp and you should just know how hard it is to get people to pay for camp on time. I spent many hours many days after camp calling people to tell them they owe us money, amd they'd go and make exusses why they can't pay now. If the camp doesn't get money from the campers till Chanukah how cam they pay their workers?
I'm not who you think I am.

Just curious about the ratio of lawyers to non-lawyers on the forum. Can someone make a poll?
If you don't care why would you comment?

I just saw a contract for a summer camp and... wow, is this even legal? Check out this part

Staff Member shall not offer, solicit, or induce, either directly or indirectly, verbally, in writing or by any electronic transmission, including, but not limited to, texting, email, social networking, any of the campers, other employees or patrons of Employer for a period of three years after termination of this Agreement. This shall include, but not be limited to, encouraging campers or other employees to attend another camp, whether day or residential, or any other program, including any travel or teen tour program offered during the months of June, July or August.

I hear, though your day camp didnt spend nearly 300k on paintball fields and lights for their courts did they?

Is this your first time working there? it seems like you know the situation....was this all in the contract in the previous years?
If you think nobody cares about you... just forget to pay your credit card bill

How about jail house lawyers to non-lawyers?

What's the problem with sending it to VIN? The camp shouldn't have this contract if they are scared that ppl will talk about it. It's not exactly a secret.

They reason why this is news is bec ppl switch camps all the time and having one camp trying to own their employees is wrong. Some 17 yr old can't go to another camp when he's 19 bec of this dumb contract???

On another note, I was once plucked down some clauses to my camp contract that I did not agree with. I crossed those lines out before I signed. I never heard a word from them about it.
