booking for infant with krisflyer miles

booking flight for 4, myself wife and two kids, from zrh-tlv in swiss j

saw 3 seats open on united so transferred 75k miles to kirsflyer to book and figured i  would book one seat with miles and more miles as they were showing 6 seats.
wanted to book myself and 2 kids with krisflyer and wife with miles and more. apparently krisflyer doesn't let you "purchase' a seat for infants. uch
so the way i see it my options are:

1. suck up the 25k miles stuck in krislyer (for now) and book wife and infant with miles and more (its 10k extra a person minus 10% for infant)
2. can i book wife with krisflyer and book an infant alone on miles and more?
2a. can i book infant on miles and more as an adult, will b-day be an issue at check-in?
3. can i change b-day of baby on krisflyer to be an adult or will i have issue at check-in?
4. dont get a seat for infant and just book wife on krisflyer (this will be second night in a row on an airplane so really want a seat for baby)?

i dont understand, are you saying that i can change the bday to make baby an adult and it wont be a problem at any point in time?

ya im assuming system needs a bit of time to reset, after all united is still showing 3 seats which is all they were showing right before i booked

If UA is showing 3 seats, then SQ should see it as well.

i booked 2 seats an hour ago when i first had the infant issue, (so UA shouldnt be showing 3 seats anymore) now that you guys clarified the infant issue, Singapore isnt seeing any seats

i went with 4-24-1994 (instad of 2014), ill make sure not to tell my wife that you called her a he!
