Earning mileage: Infants (who don't pay for a full ticket) are not eligible to earn miles.

Luggage: Some people report that their friend or parent flew and got lucky. However, it's best to check with the Airline (on their website or calling them), BEFORE packing your suitcases. Here are some helpful links, plus a summary of baggage allowed for lap infants.
Child paying 10% of fare can check a small suitecase up to 10kg/20lb. Child paying 50%+ of adult fare can check standard baggage allowance (one full size suitcase 23kg/50lb) both are +stroller and car seat. One carry on + booster or infant seat + pump and cooler
1 chacked bag at same rate as adults first bag + 1 stroller + 1 car seat. 1 carry-on diaper bag per child is allowed + pump + milk cooler + (stroller??)
1 stroller + 1 carseat. carry on: diaper bag, pump, carry one size stroller, carseat
1 checked bag up to 50lb/23kg. 1 stroller 1 carseat. 1 carry on up to 13lb/6kg or a carry on size stroller
  • BA
1 checked bag 50lbs/23kg + two of the following: stroller,car/booster seat,travel cot,babyack carrier. 1 extra carryon bag.
  • ElAL
1 checked bag 50lb/23kg. 1 stroller or car seat. NO carry on. (its not like their makpid these days any way  :))
[/list]

Proof: Some airlines require proof of age. Rather bring along some kind of proof, and not get stuck because of an gate agent or TSA guard that had a bad day.

Infants are cute.

Got tickets for my Whole family for Shavous by the Delta glitch. However my kids are flying with my in laws via stop over with paid tickets. My Daughter is turning 2 on June 1st and we are flying the 2nd. How risky is it to add her to our reservation (we have direct flight also on the 2nd) and add her as an lap child and claim that her b-day is July 1st. Worth case scenario she'll end up going with the paid ticket on my in laws flight (via stop over) Am I pulling it to far or change that the TSA wont realize and will let her through on our flight as a lap child???

Setting aside ethical considerations... I have never been asked to prove a child's age, and I have flown with an infant many times

But the Airline has the right to ask for one before you board. Has anyone have any experience where the airline asked to proof that the lap child is under 2?????

For those with CP, it can be even cheaper than Avios.

Obviously depends on the amount of kids and ages.

I just booked a RT ISP-FLL for 2+1 infant for ~12,xxx total.

Why would you use a cp on such a route?

SW mileage is based on pricing of the tickets. Have to really check to see what they are charging when you want to fly.

How do i know if my car seat meets FAA regulations?

also I have business ticket for my infant on my delta glitch flight.  Will they give me hard time in business class if car seat is not FAA approved?
