i just used MR for a hotel stay through Amex Travel. was a value of about 1cpp. was quite ashamed, so i am here to confess

it was a hotel that does not take points and i really didn't want to sell points to pay for the stay.

yes, it's the same when my friends accumulate 60,000 pts on their amex after 4 yrs of spending $15K per year on using one credit card. and saving up for an MR gift.
