nice
I'd assume that it comes with the 24-month language, even if I had the prestige within the past 24 months, correct?
Correct. "Bonus ThankYou Points are not available if you have had a ThankYou Preferred, ThankYou Premier or Citi Prestige card opened or closed in the past 24 months."

Thanks, applied and approved.

I can now close my 2yo premier..
should you wait to get the bonus on your new card before closing your 2 yo premier? would they invalidate your bonus if you close your old card before you meet the spend threshold on the new one?

So I was told I have 60 days to use my points after closure for redemption. That DOESN'T INCLUDE POINTS TRANSFER TO AIRLINES. Is there a way around that?

I have had multiple accounts of a no annual fee ThankYou card. Why should this be different?

The AF was supposed to be charged in March but I don't see it, does it make sense that they didn't charge the AF?
Can I apply for a new Premier card if I product changed from the TY to the Premier in the last 24 months but the original account was opened more than 2 years ago?

About to cancel my citi premier card and have to transfer points out first. Where would you park 50k of TY points? Singapore? Asia Air?

47k TK will get you a business class ticket on Turkish or *A partner with manageable YQ. A bit of a PITA to actually get the ticket issued but doable.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

Your Citi ThankYou points will not expire for as long as they remain a cardholder.

is this accurate practically?  do they really cancel your TY points what if you downgrade to preferred card?

My last TYP card was closed on 9/9/16. Do I have to give a month buffer and apply in October 2018 or can I apply on 9/10/18 for a new one?

Do purchases in store at gas stations (not at pump) qualify for 3x TYP's?

Sure. It was nice for buying $500 cards at 7-Eleven.

If i closed a TY card in the last 24 months would they also not approve, or just not get the welcome bonus?
