Does legacy Citi Forward still get 5x at Amazon?

I have the old Citi Forward from a few years ago that gets 5x on dining and bookstores. When I got the card, Amazon counted as bookstores for 5x, but I but I always opted for 5x UR from gift cards at Staples instead. Now that TYP can be transferred, I want to use my Forward. However, I vaguely recall that Amazon no longer counts as a bookstore for 5x Forward. I did some searching online, and there's a lot of stuff about this from 2013. I'm not sure if this is accurate, as I thought the changes were more recent. Any final word on this? Thanks

I did some more searching on this and asked in another forum and am getting conflicting info. Any other thoughts?

I tested it a couple of months ago on my card and didn't get it.

Do a $1 test on your card and see what happens, it's possible that not all cards lost it.

Yeah, I will do that. But I also read that different things purchased can result in different billing codes. So a pack of candy bars might be different than a box of LED bulbs.

Mine still gets as of January, haven't used it since.

I believe the issue your referring to, was around 2013 they started charging some orders as "COMPUTER NETWORK/INFO SRVS" and some as "book stores", so only some got 5X. They fixed it last year, at least for non-3rd-party purchases.
