don't get me wrong. I'm all for the downfall of these animals. especially someone like freddie grey who was arrested 40 times in his 25 year life span. just make sure you have the facts of the case (apparently jumping from a high fence during a police chase CAN cause spinal injury).

Maybe they feel that if he were white he wouldn't be arrested 20 times for petty charges that a white boy would get away with a warning and a slap on the wrist for?

It more than that. It's that people in the Black community feel targeted and feel that they have no avenue fo recourse.

Yes, you need say more.  I work in the inner City and interact with these people on an almost-daily basis. 
You need to say how most of them mean well and are just trying to get by.
You need to say how they are systematically targeted and harassed by local LEOs regularly.
You need to say how blacks are often arrested for minor crimes - or even non-crimes [like Freddie Gray] - that you or I wouldn't be picked up for.
You need to say how blacks' bails and sentences are regularly higher than their white counterparts' for comparable crimes.
There's a major issue here.  You and I don't see it from where we live, nor do we have the same interactions with the police.

This isn't about Freddie Gray (who happened to be a lead paint baby thanks to one of our very own).  He was the proverbial straw that brought these constant tensions to surface.  This is about a palpable racial divide in our own city, and in most major urban cities.

ETA:  This does not excuse the looting and rioting.  I am merely trying to provide a backdrop.  It's not just "They killed Freddie, let's make them pay!"

"Systematically targeted" is a lie. Police routinely check up on areas and individuals who have constant run-ins with the law and/or multiple records of violence or illegal activity. Since there is a ridiculously disproportionate amount of crime in Black neighborhoods, police are there very often. This is a problem within the Black community that is not the fault of White people.

"Arrested for minor crimes" is a lie. The ones that get arrested for "minor" crimes are usually ones whom already have priors. Tell me of a crime where a White would not get arrested but a Black would.

They feel targeted because they are being told by their so called "leaders" that they are being targeted.

Baloney. Not unless someone called 911 and reported that they felt threatened. Cops generally don't walk over to random drunks whom are not bothering anybody. Come to the NYC subway once in a while and see for yourself.

If it happened once or twice, then they are isolated incidents, and I can assure you that Whites have also been arrested once in a while for public intoxication.

Are you telling me that a white kid and black kid who both get caught in possession of minor narcotics will get the same treatment?

The cops have yet to articulate a reason for the arrest in the first place.  You would think by now that had enough time to make one up. You can bet the cops have arrested others for the same non-reason. If it happened to Jews we'd be screaming bloody hell.

If the cops show up to a street corner in Baltimore where a Black kid is standing there "looking suspicious" because the night before there was a gang-drug related shooting, they will likely search the kid and subsequently arrest him if he is carrying drugs. If a White kid was in an identical situation, he would be searched and arrested too.

If a Black kid was minding his own business in a shopping mall, the cops would not stop him, just as they would not stop a White kid.
