Help needed!

I booked 4 tickets TLV-EWR on United, back in MAY – three months ago, and was just notified that a niece is getting married on the day I return (11/23) and I can’t miss the wedding.

I suck at HUCA and am willing to pay someone to either call for me or an agent to switch the return flight ONE FLIGHT earlier.

I do not want to pay the $300 per ticket fee ($1,200 total) to change the flight and will pay someone for their time if they can get it waived. Any options?

PM for details if you think you can help.

THANK YOU!

I have an AA award (partner award) on hold that was supposed to expire last the 29th, it's still showing up in my upcoming reservations and the seats haven't gone back into inventory, has that happened to anyone before?

it can happen if the partner didn't yet cancel the hold and AA's automatic system didn't yet kick it out, RJ for instance usually won't cancel the hold until 2-3 hours before the flight

The thing is that I've had the same award on hold twice before this and it canceled each time so I thought this was strange.

If Singapore books me a award ticket on United, am I able to add my United FFN to the reservation to get United Silver benefits?

Does anyone know how to check the inbound flight for a departure? I tried FlightAware, FlightStats, Googled it and all of the tools mentioned there didn't work. It looks like FlightAware used to offer that service but no more.

Depends on the airline?

Nevermind. On FlightAware, 'track inbound flight' appeared under flight details out of nowhere. Strange.

Are any airlines known to not allow you to check in a carboard box as luggage?

I don't think TSA has a problem with boxes per se but don't they need to be able to open everything? What do people do about this? Tape it and leave a roll of tape inside for them to close it again?  Have people checked boxes that TSA opened?

I had a box opened by TSA

Flight was from PHL-ORD was a big box with 4 laptops inside, TSA left a pamphlet saying something about a random check and resealed it using special TSA tape.

Yes, do not expect to bring a carry on without paying.

That paper is standard. I've had it multiple times in suitcases.
