I remember a while ago Dan posted that profit margins on flight routes are very slim. I remember being very surprised with the numbers (I don't remember the exact details) and I think that was pre coronavirus when airlines were running regularly.

With all these change fee eliminations from different airlines why won't that affect them in a very serious way? Will they start overbooking more than previously? Am I totally wrong about the numbers?
My Tapatalk notifications don't always work.

Is there any way to book an airline ticket more than 12 months in advance?
(Really have the same question about hotels but this is an airline thread.)

Some low cost airlines allow a little bit over 12 months, otherwise no. Some airlines only allow 11 months.

How risky is it to purposely put the wrong DOB and then change it later?

0 risk! I do it all the time.
You’ll just have to call to get it changed.

What's the best seats for EY A380 in F for a couple?

Currently have 1A & 1D selected, but not sure what seats those are as Seatguru doesn't have it on it's website.

I had that selected, but for some reason they changed me. Still showing an A380 though.

Still not sure why it's showing row 1, isn't that the residence ...?

Update: Seems like it was changed to a 787 although EY website is still showing A380.

What's the advantage of that?
A. If you don’t know the DOB at time of booking.
B. If you want to book an unaccompanied minor, you can book them as an adult and change the date later.
C. If you want to book a seat for an infant, many websites don’t give you that option, so you book them as a child and change the date later.
There were some more cases I’ve done it, but these are the ones I remember at the moment.

All airline miles can’t be purchased for a reasonable price. Some airlines allow you to combine points and cash (flying blue, Avios).
