If i book a flight on AA now for departure tomorrow morning, can i cancel  till immediately before the flight (as it's within 24 hours of booking)?

And how about if i book with Priceline?

When booking with American you need to book at least two days in advance to qualify

Priceline will let you cancel. Once you check in though, you may have to cancel the check in for them to be able to cancel the ticket.

are the policies of award flight refunds still the same as mentioned in this post?

https://www.dansdeals.com/points-travel/airlines/airline-news/master-chart-comparing-new-airline-change-fee-waivers/

The last update date on that post is 5/31. There are at least a couple things I'm aware of that happened after that date:

1) Delta added a new COVID related waiver: Customers booked in Basic Economy can make changes to their flights for travel happening 7/28/21 through 12/31/21.

2) Delta basic (non-elite) members can now standby for same-day earlier flights for free, but only when a confirmable change is not available.  Confirmed same day changes still incur fees.  Same day standby applies to those flying within the United States, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands - https://www.delta.com/us/en/change-cancel/same-day-flight-change

3) United’s basic economy tickets are no longer ‘use it or lose it’... If you purchased a basic economy ticket and you need to make changes, you can purchase a “Switch to Economy” upgrade. Once you’ve upgraded, you’ll be able to make changes to your ticket - https://thepointsguy.com/news/united-change-basic-economy-tickets/

It would be great if @Dan could update that blog post - great resource that I have bookmarked for future use!

You can book them as adults, just put a fake DOB

Other then lap children, you can’t add any people to your current reservation.

How can I undo check-in on Delta? (without sitting on hold for 9 hours!)

I'm not sure you can, but if you share why you want to "un-check in" someone may have an alternative option for you.
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

Go to your reservation and hit modify flight.

It will let me change the date, not cancel.

Once he changes the date, will the new reservation allow him to cancel?

Any fees to change?
Once changed to a future date, he'll have more time to stay on hold or whatever is needed to cancel.

I have a Delta e-credit from a cancelled flight good until the end of 2022. Is it as good as paying for a ticket with cash so that if I use it to book a flight and end up canceling I would simply get a new e/credit for the same time frame? Thanks

Anyone else seeing a single Avios posted on their BA account on their birthday date? Stingy gift but extends expiration date.

Friend was scheduled on a 4:10 flight, they cancelled the flight and put onto a 10:45 flight. Called to be put into the 2:30 flight. They would only confirm my friend onto the flight after paying (presumably the difference of fair), originally they wanted $127 but then agreed to do it for $93 per passenger.

Shouldn't they try to accommodate a misplaced customer if there's space without charging extra? This was on UA.
Any chance to escalate after the fact and get a refund?

They should’ve done it for free due to schedule change. Did he try doing it online or just called?

When was the ticket reissued? Today?

I don't know if he tried online. Ticket was reissued today. Currently inflight.
