I canceled AA domestic tickets almost a year ago for 3 travelers, only received airline credit in each person's name which is about to expire, any way I can consolidate it to one travel credit or at least extend them?

For international you need to buy a discounted ticket but you won't get a seat unless you pay the full fare.

IME it wasn’t an issue on DL & UA. Did you try to call the Airline to change the name? They’ll do it sometimes.

Have a JetBlue flight booked it is the last flight out that day in case of IRROPS will they rebook on AA first thing in the morning out of LGA instead of JFK? Jetblue doesn't have a flight till 12pm

my brother in law who made a aliyah a few years ago and is an american and israeli citizen, he was supposed to fly from TLV to JFK on a cheapoair ticket in american basic economy a few weeks ago. at the time, israel was not allowing citizens to leave the country due to covid. I was hoping the flight would be cancelled , unfortunately it was not cancelled. He has contacted cheapoair and they say american basic economy tickets are non refundable and he is stuck. Any thoughts on his options here? thanks

Had the same issue - the most American would do was give me a ticket between the same origin and destination for anytime during the next year but I'd still have to pay the fare difference if needed. Filed with the DOT because the US had turned red preventing me from flying and they said that since the plane made the flight, they can't do anything about it.

Did he try board? I think some dual citz made it out. That would weaken your case.

He did not try to board, he figured he would never get past the Israeli covid police and allowed out. It sounds like he is stuck?

How did you get American to give you that option? I think he would take that. Which number did you call?
